The Home Computer Course was a 24-part magazine published in 1983-4 by Orbis.  It contains articles on a variety of computing topics such as hardware and software, buying guides, gaming and computing history.  It was intended as a complete guide to computing for a beginner, as evidenced by its subtitle, 'Mastering Your Home Computer in 24 weeks.'  The magazine was succeded by The Home Computer Advanced Course, which ran for a further 96 issues.

This certificate was issued to readers who completed the 'Home Computer BASIC Course', presumably a course on the programming language BASIC administered by Orbis through the magazine.  It is kept in an original Home Computer Course binder with issues 13-24, and we also have issues 1-12, completing the set.

Publication Date : 1984

Creator : Orbis
