The PDP-11 was Digital's successor to the hugely successful PDP-8. The PDP-11 was a 16-bit machine and was launched in 1970. This model, the PDP-11/53, was launched in 1987. The PDP-11 series was still in production right up until 1990, the last versions being the MicroPDP-11/94 and the -11/93.
This example has twin floppy disk drives and a RD54 hard disk. It is in excellent condition (possibly unused) but unfortunately will not boot beyond the firmware level, probably because of a hard drive fault. Manufacturer: DEC Comment on This Page Other Systems Related To Digital Micro PDP-11/53:
