The game caused a stir, as it was seen to be an arcade perfect version of the Capcom arcade classic. In reality it was far from that, but it was an extremely impressive one on one fighting game, that for a while was exclusive to the Super Nintendo. Due to the size of the cartridge needed, the game was very expensive at launch, a rather eye watering £64.99, which did harm sales initially, although it was a strong seller. There was a pack in game released in November 1992, that helped Nintendo sell a lot of consoles in the lead up to Christmas. The game itself has the player or players pick a character, and travel the world taking on very different characters, working their way up to the last character Bison, to stop his world domineering plans.
