This manual describes how to configure and install some simple ThinWire Ethernet networks for VAXstation 2000, MicroVAX 2000, or VAXmate systems. It does not describe all possible configurations, but outlines the rules to follow
when configuring your network with ThinWire Ethernet.

Recommended Reading Path
1. VAXstation 2000 Hardware Installation Guide, MicroVAX 2000 Hardware Installation Guide, or VAXmate System Handbook. You should install your VAXstation 2000, or VAXmate system before installing ThinWire Ethernet.
2. Workstations and MicroVAX 2000 Network Guide, Chapter 2. This chapter tells you how to configure your network.
3. Workstations and MicroVAX 2000 Network Guide, Chapter 3. This chapter describes how to install ThinWire Ethernet hardware on your system.

A glossary at the end of the book explains technical terms used in this book.
