Bubsy is a 2D mascot platformer from Accolade that spawned several sequels and a notorious pilot episode for an animated TV series. While met with mild praise in 1993, it has become synonymous with mediocre platformers in hindsight. The game sees Bubsy the cat save balls of yarn from invading aliens. Initially controlling Bubsy is hard, due to the momentum the character gains while running. The game also suffers from requiring the player to make many leaps of faith onto platforms that may or may not be within reach outside of the screen.
