Produced by Special Access Systems Ltd, this keyguard simply attaches on top of the BBC Micro's keyboard. It has holes for each keyboard key, and for the three LEDs. It has multiple applications for those with a range of motor difficulties, and can be used with a typing stick, head wand, mouth stick, or the hands. It can aid in stabilizing the fingers or a handheld typing stick. It also reduces the number of mistakes due to hitting two keys at the same time. The guard enables the user to keep their fingers/pointer positioned over the appropriate keys while making a selection and to rest their hands on the keyboard during use without pressing unintended keys. This is also suitable or those with upper extremity disabilities who want to use a standard computer keyboard but are unable to keep their hand elevated above it, such as those who use a head wand or mouth stick.
