The SPARCbook 2 was a portable SPARC system produced by Tadpole Technologies in the early 1990s. Released in 1993, it retailed for $10,950. The standard configuration shipped with 16MB RAM, a 250MB hard disk, and a 640x480 colour TFT active-matrix LCD display. No floppy drive was included as standard, although external SCSI floppy drives were available. The SPARCbook 2 and its industrial designers Satherley Design won an iF Design Award in the Office category in 1994 for the design of the notebook. The example in our collection comes with a Sparcbook branded carry bag. Manufacturer: Tadpole Technologies Comment on This Page Other Systems Related To Tadpole SPARCbook 2:
