The PlayStation Multitap allows up to four controllers and memory cards to be plugged in at the same time in a single controller port in the Sony PlayStation. Using two Multitaps allowed eight players at once. The Multitap was also compatible with the PS one, and the PlayStation 2 up to the SCPH-70000 series, the Slimline version released in 2004. As it enables you to use the same number of memory cards as controllers, in games such as Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore, this allows all players to insert memory cards and track their personal statistics.
