Alien 3 is a 2D run and gun game from Probe Entertainment.  Its story vaguely resembles the film on which it is based.  The player takes control of Ripley as she takes on the Xenomorph menace that is terrorising Fiorina 161 prison colony.  The game featured a strong sense of atmosphere due to the graphics and sound.  The large alien sprites appearing from the floor, ceiling and walls.

This Mega Drive version is completely different to the SNES version, which had a much more arcade adventure slant to it.
