Shigeru Miyamoto

Shigeru Miyamoto is the Japanese video game designer who created some of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed, and most influential games and franchises of all time, such as Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, Pikmin and The Legend of Zelda. He is often referred to as 'the father of modern video gaming'.

Miyamoto joined Nintendo in 1977 and designed their first ever video game, Donkey Kong, which was released in 1981.
