Originally retailing at £109.25 (excluding disk drives) it allowed a Spectrum to interface to Shugart-compatible single- or double-density 3.5" or 5.25" floppy disk drives. The expansion connector is carried through to the rear of the unit, allowing additional expansion modules to be connected. The included EPROM contains the TR-DOS operating system.
