The program allows the BBC Microcomputer to draw high resolution pictures. Modes 0, 1 and 2 may be used, but the maximum number of colours will be available only in Mode 2. The program has been specifically designed to be easy to understand and may be used by children of 3 years and over. The flexibility of the program also lends itself to more serious applications such as Computer aided design. Painbox may be used with joysticks, graphic tablets or the BBC keyboard. A full list of all the keys used is at the end of the booklet.
