Learn to Read 3 follows on from the earlier programs in the series and builds on the child's progress so far. It is carefully designed to reinforce the basic skills which the child has acquired in the first programs, so that he or she can gain the confidence to move on through the complex reading process. As with the earlier programs in the series, Learn to Read 3 features four different activities, all of which are colourful and lively. Further vocabulary is introduced in this program, so the child is now reading over 30 words. The Learn to Read series is derived from Macmillan Education's best-selling reading scheme called Gay Wat, which is widely used in primary schools. The software offers a unique opportunity for parents, as well as teachers, to share and participate in children's first experience of reading.
