RISC OS Printer Spooler

The RISC OS Printer Spooler allows a printer connected to an Archimedes to be accessed transparently from other computers on the network. With traditional printer servers running on BBC Micros, users have to wait until the current job has finished before being allowed to send their files. The Printer Spooler eliminates this wait. It accepts files straightaway and stores them temporarily on disc until the printer becomes free. Therefore, users can send their files and carry on with their work whilst the Printer Spooler takes care of the printing.
