This package describes the structure and biosynthesis of nucleic acids and the role of DNA in the chemical basis of heredity. The programs give four lines of evidence for the genetic role of DNA. They illustrate the chemical structure of DNA, RNA and their nucleotides and the mechanism of DNA replication and RNA biosynthesis. Interactive programming and imaginative graphics demonstrate the key concept of sequence complementarity.
