This package introduces pupils to computer-aided design and provides some insight into the importance of computers in modern industry. The user can draw on the screen any shape that is symmetrical abouta single axis (e.g. a wine glass, vase or chair leg) and then view several three-dimensional representations of it. These can be rotated to give a realistic impression of the finished object and the user can, on the basis of this, modify the original shape. In addition, when the design of the object is satisfactory, a model can be machined on a lathe (available separtely) which is operated automatically by the computer.
