This is a package that contains three sections: Natural Selection, Genetic Drift and Evolution Natural Selection: This program makes use of the Hardy-Weinberg equation to model the proportion of different genotypes in a population from generation to generation. Genetic Drift: This program demonstrates the various points in the death, mating and breeding of a small population which can lead to a deviation from the result predicted by the Hardy-Weinberg equation and by Mendelian genetics. Evolution: Modern views on the evolution of species suggest a range of possible forces which may be responsible for populations diverging into sub-populations and hence to the complete segregation of these sub-populations into new species.
