The Gemini database for the 32K BBC Microcomputer is written as a card indexing system for the storage of a wide variety of information in the form of formatted cards on the computer screen. It is suitable all versions of Acorn BASIC, and versions 1.0 onwards of the operating system. Facilities are included for calculations, for example to calculate the totals of the numbers of items, etc., and other features include numeric or text sorts by any heading, complex searches with subsequent printout or screening of results as complete records or heading summaries. The card is completely user definable, and he one program may be used to store as many different types of card as you wish. Approximately 12,000 characters of information may be stored (15,000 if using tape), and the number of cards that may be held depends entirely on the amount of information for each record.
