Batman (Hit Squad)

Based purely on the cartoon series, and the first game based on Batman, the original Spectrum version was by Jon Ritman and Bernie Drummond. It is an isometric adventure in the vein of the Ultimate classic games such as Knight Lore. Highly acclaimed at the time, it is clear now, that is is very hard to explore the cave as an isometric view can be very imprecise when trying to make a jump, or trying not to touch items. There is also the infamous room where Batman falls to his death and loses all his lives, and there is nothing the player can do about it. The game involves exploring the Bat cave, which has unfortunately been taken over, and is now full of henchmen and the booby traps now turned against our hero. He must first equip himself with his Bat Suit Extras such as his jumping boots, wings, so he can float further and backpack so he can store more items. After this part of the quest it is time to go deeper into the cave, and find the parts to the disassembled Batmobile, then he can take on the Penguin and Joker.
