The PDP-11 was Digital's successor to the hugely successful PDP-8. The PDP-11 was a 16 bit machine and was launched in 1970.
Our machine is the Micro PDP-11/23 which offered "Minicomputer performance and software in a micro-sized package", but actually the machine was still quite a lump!
The Micro PDP-11/23 had a winchester hard disk and two RX50K floppy drives.
Amazingly the PDP-11 series was still in product right up until 1990, the lst version being the MicroPDP-11/94.
Hard drive currently +disconnected - belived faulty
POWER SUPPLY FAULTY - DO NOT POWER UP
