This programmable, desktop calculator was made by Rockwell International, one of the major developers and manufacturers of integrated circuits since the late 1960s. It features the Rockwell PPS-4 (Parallel Processing System), an early 4-bit microprocessor and other LSI (large scale integration) ICs made by Rockwell.

Designed to be used in a business office or scientific lab, this 14-digit calculator is a four-function programmable calculator with limited scientific functions. It also features a magnetic card reader for storing programs, and a printer. Each magnetic card could store 256 program steps on each side. Rockwell also had an extensive program library available, which were stored on the magnetic cards.

There were three models of the calculator available, the basic model had nine memories and allowed 192 program steps. The example in our collection is the highest model, the 920/3, which had 96 memories and 996 program steps.
