The Apple Macintosh Microsoft Works version 2 includes: Word Processor, Drawing Tools, Database, Spreadsheet with Business Graphics and Electronic Communications. It was an extremely cut down version of the current Microsoft Office and was released in 1988 and published by Redmond, Wash. : Microsoft Corp. It was described to be "Incredibly easy to learn and use" It had special benefits such as: "Complete set of drawing tools for business logos, newsletters, and page layout, Built-in spelling checker with 60,000+ words that even checks homonyms (such as there/their), View your documents on-screen before printing, Built-in macros that automate longer tasks, Work with up to 14 documents on-screen at once, Easily exchange data with other leading applications like Microsoft Excel and Word, Instantly swap information between tools, Easily convert AppleWorks® files to Works files, Ideal for frequent travellers who use the new Apple Macintosh Portable on business trips."
