Educational Software for children with special educational needs. 5 disks, Level 1a, 1b, 2, 3a & 3b.

This is an end product of an interactive learning research project for the profoundly handicapped - a joint venture between Barnardos and Edge Hill College of Higher Education.

The programs are presented in 3 levels:

Level 1

  • Initial Eye Contact
  • Motivation to use a switch
  • Cause and effect concept

Level 2

  • Transition to two switches

Level 3

  • Transition to wider choice

Many different input devices can be used and a particular feature of Barnardos software is its combination of music and colour.

Unfortunately our copy is missing the manual, but we can tell that this software utilises something they call a "Keyboard Technology Match Box". It may also use a Micromike device by Daco Software Systems.
