This Installation Guide is intended for technicians engaged in installation of the Racal-Milgo PLANET system. General practices regarding the jointing and running of coaxial cables are described, together with step-by-step procedures for installing the hardware. Chapter one is a general introduction and chapter two deals with installing coaxial Rings. Connections of Terminal Access Points and Directors is described in chapter four. Each chapter contains testing information. Chapter five outlines the approach to extending existing installations. The procedures are written with the assumption that the installers will have a set of planning documentation supplied from Racal-Milgo design engineers.
