Acquired from an Ebay buyer, who donated them to us, unbeknownst to him, they were bought from Patricia Mitchell, who was the Acquisitions Assistant at Thorn EMI from 1981-1984, she started as secretary to the technical managers and became a keen games player, eventually being promoted to evaluate games submitted by the public, and other companies looking for a publisher. Thorn EMI were one of the first games development studios in the UK, creating games for systems including the Atari, BBC, Spectrum and Texas Instruments, they also developed the VHD, the rival to Laserdisc. These ROMS were burned in house, with the final retail production taking place in Japan, so it seems this cartridge were created in the UK. It has been suggested that this is a beta cartridge, and therefore may be different to the final product, or even incomplete with bugs.
